The conclusion of Haunter in the Dark. After Robert Blake looks into the mysterious glowing stone in the tower room, he accidently brings the Haunter into our world, trapping it in the abandoned church.
Haunter was originally published in the December 1936 issue of Weird Tales as a sequel to Robert Bloch’s Shambler From the Stars. It is the last known story written by H.P. Lovecraft.
If you’d like to read the original story you can read it here for free.
During his lifetime Lovecraft encouraged others to make use of his creations so its no surprise that his influence can be felt in every corner of popular culture today. From music to videogames his characters and unique style has found its way into our everyday lives.
